Dental Crowns & Bridges Houston

Dental Crowns & Bridges Houston
A broken or missing tooth can have a negative impact on your health and your self-esteem. Simple acts like eating can become uncomfortable or painful, and smiling can have the same effect. Not only that, but your damaged or missing tooth can influence the way others think of you because your dental history is wide open and on public display.

Don’t let your health or confidence suffer because of damaged or missing teeth. Our cosmetic dentists in Houston, TX can restore your smile, your tooth function, and your self-esteem with our porcelain crowns and dental bridges. If you don’t want to go one more day with your current smile, we offer same-day crowns using the latest dental technology.

Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain crowns are “caps” that cover your flawed or damaged teeth. We match your crowns to the color and shape of your other healthy teeth.

Dental crown can permanently conceal a variety of flaws, such as chips, cracks, and stains. Crowns are also used to repair and replace teeth damaged by decay, disease, or trauma and protect them from future damage. When your teeth are too damaged to treat with fillings, inlays, or onlays, Dr. Nazari or one of our other cosmetic dentists may recommend crowns.

To receive your crown, we will examine your teeth thoroughly and take digital X-rays of the damaged tooth. Next, Dr. Nazari may remove some enamel from your teeth and then take impressions of your teeth to send to a dental lab. When we receive your lifelike crown from the lab, you will come back for us to place it. First, we will numb the area with local anesthesia and then bond the crown over your tooth.

Our porcelain crowns can also replace one or more missing teeth in combination with either dental bridges or implants. Crowns supported by bridges are stabilized by the surrounding healthy teeth, which we will shape before bonding the crowns on top. If we use crowns to top your dental implants, we will simply secure them on top of the anchored implant.

Same-day CEREC Crowns

Antoine Dental Center uses cutting-edge technology to provide you with accurate, convenient, and high quality dental care. One way we have embraced the latest dental technology is with our incredible same-day CEREC crowns.

CEREC, or CEramic REConstructions, uses CAD/CAM technology to give you a new crown in just one visit to our Houston dental office! CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) allows us to take digital impressions of your tooth rather than physical impressions that we have to send off to a lab. Dr. Nazari uses these digital impressions to create a 3D model of your crown, which he can adjust as needed. Then he sends the model to a milling machine in our office, which creates your accurate crown in less time than you can watch a TV show in the dental chair! After polishing your crown and making finishing touches, Dr. Nazari will bond it to your tooth.

Porcelain Dental Bridges

Missing even one tooth can create an uneven bite that places stress on your teeth and jaw joints. With this added stress, your teeth may shift out of position and become more prone to tooth decay and gum disease. If you are missing one or more teeth, our Houston cosmetic dentist can help with our porcelain dental bridge.

What is a dental bridge? A dental bridge is a restoration that uses porcelain crowns attached to false teeth that replace your missing teeth. It is one of the most common ways to replace one or more adjacent teeth. To support the bridge, you must have healthy teeth on either side of the gap.

Just a few dental visits to our office can have your smile looking and feeling fantastic. For the procedure, we will first prepare your abutment teeth (those that will support the bridge). We will then take X-rays and impressions of your teeth to send to the lab that will create your custom crown. While you wait for your permanent bridge, we will provide you with a temporary bridge. When your permanent bridge arrives, we will bond it securely into place. With your new lifelike bridge, you will be proud to smile, eat, and speak properly once again.

If your dental fear or anxiety has kept you from getting your tooth replaced or repaired, our sedation options can comfortably provide you with the treatment you need.
