CLEANING\/FLUORIDE<\/b><\/h1>\n

Please follow these instructions following your fluoride varnish treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Fluoride varnish will remain on your teeth for approximately 4-6 hours.\u00a0 Please follow the guidelines below during that time only:<\/span>\n
      \n
    • Do not brush or floss.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Avoid hot beverages.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Avoid hard or crunchy foods.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Avoid products containing alcohol.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Avoid other \u201cover the counter\u201d fluoride items such as toothpastes, gels, and rinses.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Please resume the activities above following the expiration of the 6 hour window.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • DO NOT use your prescription fluoride medications such as Gel-Kam or Periomed for three days AFTER treatment.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • A thorough brushing and flossing of your teeth (after the six hours window) will remove any remaining traces of your fluoride varnish.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
